Precinct 8 Deputy Crider’s traffic stop turned into a wild chase as a wanted 🤡 with multiple aliases trying to avoid a trip to Mexico.

On May 3, 2025, at approximately 2:30 PM, Deputy C. Crider with the Harris County Constable’s Office was conducting routine patrol in the 7500 block of Red Bluff Drive in Pasadena, Harris County, Texas, when a traffic stop resulted in the arrest of a wanted fugitive.
Deputy Crider initiated a stop on a vehicle for expired registration. Upon contact, the driver identified himself by name and date of birth, but a records check did not return any valid results. The driver then provided multiple alternate dates of birth and stated that previous law enforcement agencies had repeatedly entered his information incorrectly.
After employing a mobile (AFIS) unit, the driver was finally identified as Lalo Vega, 37, of Pasadena, TX. A subsequent records check revealed that Vega had several active arrest warrants issued by the Victoria County Sheriff’s Office. The VCSO was contacted, and the warrants were confirmed to be valid. Vega was immediately placed into custody. Further investigation revealed that Vega has been using multiple aliases to avoid apprehension and potential deportation to Mexico.
The Harris County District Attorney’s Office was contacted, and accepted charges for Failure to Identify as a Fugitive from Justice.
Vega was transported to the Harris County Jail and booked without incident.
