Precinct 8 Deputy K. Peters electrified a daring motorcycle 🤡.

On May 4, 2025, at approximately 11:00 PM, Deputy K. Peters observed a Harley-Davidson motorcycle traveling at a high rate of speed southbound on Galveston Road near El Dorado Boulevard. The motorcycle’s speed was checked at 102 Mph in a posted 50 MPH zone. The rider, later identified as 37-year-old Jesus Martin Cantu, was observed running multiple red lights without stopping or yielding to cross traffic.

As the motorcycle approached the intersection of Galveston Road and Bay Area Boulevard, the rider began to slow down and stop as Sgt. Ford positioned his vehicle to block traffic in the intersection. Upon stopping, the rider refused multiple verbal commands from both Sgt. Ford and Deputy Peters to dismount the motorcycle. The subject was subsequently tased and taken into custody without further incident. Cantu was charged with Evading in a Motor Vehicle and Felony DWI 3rd. No bonds have been set in these cases as of yet.
