On Monday, July 7, 2025, Deputy Langley was dispatched to the 12500 block of the Gulf Fwy where 3 homeless individuals were refusing to leave the property. Deputy Langley made contact with the individuals and identified all three to issue a criminal trespass warning. One subject provided a false name and date of birth which came back with no return. Deputy Langley utilized mobile AFIS and positively identified the male as 33 year-old Eric Gilmore.
Gilmore was shown to have an active felony warrant out of the Harris County Sheriff’s Office for evading. As he was being taken into custody Deputy Langley observed Gilmore attempt to conceal a loaded syringe underneath his belongings. Once he was placed in handcuffs the syringe was safely recovered and secured. Deputy Langley searched Gilmore’s person incident to arrest and recovered a small bag containing Heroin.
The felony warrant was confirmed, and the District Attorney’s Office accepted charges of PCS PG1 and Fail to ID fugitive. Gilmore was booked into the Harris County Joint Processing Center without further incident.
