Precinct 8 press release about a tragic early morning crash claims life of Houston woman.

PUBLIC RELEASE – FATAL TRAFFIC ACCIDENT November 6, 2024 Early this morning, at approximately 2:25 AM, Deputies with Constable Phil Sandlin’s Office were dispatched to the 2300 block of NASA Pkwy. in Houston for a major traffic accident involving a single vehicle in the westbound lanes of travel. Upon arrival, Deputies learned a silver Hyundai 2 door vehicle, occupied by a female driver, left the roadway at this location and struck a tree. The sole occupant, a 39 year old white female of Hitchcock, was severely injured in the crash. Precinct 8 Deputies were able to extract the female from the wreckage and immediately administered CPR to the unresponsive female until the arrival of Nassau Bay EMS. She was transported to HCA Clear Lake Hospital for treatment, but sadly, she was pronounced deceased at approximately 3:00 AM. There were no passengers in the Hyundai and no other vehicles were involved in this incident. The westbound lanes were shut down while Precinct 8 crash investigators processed the scene. The lanes remained closed until shortly after 6:00 AM. This case remains under investigation at this time. Our thoughts and prayers are with family of the deceased as they cope with their sudden and tragic loss. Jason Finnen, Chief Deputy Harris County Precinct 8 Constable’s Office
