On Thursday, September 5, 2024, members with the Precinct 8 Street Crimes Unit recovered a stolen vehicle in the 500 block of Bay Area Blvd. Deputies located the stolen vehicle, a 2022 blue Audi Q3, at La Quinta Inn & Suites and initiated a felony stop. A check of the vehicle confirmed it was reported stolen through Broward County Sheriff’s Office in Florida. The driver was detained and identified as 30 year old Bryshere Ronald Gray. Deputies detected a strong odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle and observed plastic tubes containing a wax substance. The narcotics were retrieved and submitted as evidence for analysis. Further investigation revealed, Gray rented the vehicle from Enterprise and did not return the vehicle on the agreed date of August 7th, 2024. Gray was charged with felony Theft and booked into the Harris County Joint Processing Center.
