Jessup Elementary School Pasadena ISD recently partnered with Rotary Club of Houston Hobby Area and Houston Achievement Place (HAP) to implement a research-based program that focuses on developing essential social and relationship skills among their students. This collaboration results from exploring viable methods designed to improve student behavior and academic performance by utilizing the resources of HAP’s Project CLASS (Children Learning Appropriate Social Skills) program. PISD and Cornyn collaborate to enhance school safety and mental health initiatives.
Pasadena ISD hosted Senator John Cornyn and several Houston area district representatives as they discussed improvements to safety and mental health initiatives through the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act that provided $10 million in grants to Houston area schools.
Students from Pasadena Memorial High School also had the opportunity to speak with Sen. Cornyn on strategies they are using to combat bullying and improve mental health.

Celebrating Outstanding Citizenship and Leadership: Pasadena ISD Honors 2023 Vanguard Community Service Award Recipients ⭐️ Pasadena Independent School District’s (Pasadena ISD) Vanguard Community Service Awards celebrated the outstanding citizenship and leadership of the top senior community service volunteers from each high school at last night’s board meeting. The Vanguard Community Service Awards serve as an example of what it means to be an active member of one’s community and also honor those who have dedicated themselves to promoting community service with integrity and responsibility.
