Possibly the fan favorite experience for our young adrenaline junkies, our JrCPA students got to speed around our driving track and experience what it can feel like when an officer runs emergency traffic or participates in a pursuit. Their need for speed was accompanied with an important reminder that, while officers do need to get to a call quickly, they also need to get there safely. Students were shown important aspects of the course that include braking and maneuvering around cones; which simulated traffic hazards and pedestrians. All in all, it was a fun evening, with beautiful weather, messy hair and lots of laughter.
