Earlier this week, Bubba’s 33 hosted a heartfelt brunch for our officers, medics, and first responders—with a special thank you for those who responded to the recent incident at their location. In the days following such a difficult and emotional event, they’re still processing and trying to make sense of what happened but they’re also showing up and standing strong. They chose to show appreciation in the way they know best: with warm food, open arms, and continued camaraderie.
And boy, did they go all out! From biscuits and gravy to French toast, bacon, eggs, juice, and coffee—everything was made with care and it showed. The food was incredible (yes, a few of us went back for seconds), but more than that, the atmosphere was filled with gratitude, support, and solidarity.
Bubba’s 33 has always stood behind our department, consistently recognizing officers of the week, handing out dinner-for-two gift cards and often, just checking in to see how they can help. This brunch carried a more somber but more powerful tone, feeling especially meaningful. They reminded us that we’re not alone, and we want them to know, neither are they.
We’re proud to stand with Bubba’s 33, just as they’ve always stood with us.
