Deputies responded swiftly to a reported shoplifting incident in the 8500 block of S Sam Houston Pkwy E. A vigilant witness observed two females moving quickly through the store, throwing numerous items into a shopping cart without checking them—behavior consistent with an attempted theft.
The suspects proceeded past all points of sale without paying, pushing a cart loaded with over $1,200 worth of merchandise. Thanks to the quick response of our deputies, the suspects were located outside in the parking lot with the stolen items.
The suspects were identified as Mya Johnson and Daniah King and were apprehended without incident. We appreciate the diligence of the witness who reported the suspicious activity, If you see something, say something!
