Constable Jerry Garcia’s office would like to update the public on an ongoing investigation that began early Sunday morning. It all began when the complainant’s vehicle was stolen from their home. Our deputies immediately began gathering information and learned the incident was recorded by a witness. It appeared the witness may have been threatened during the interaction by the suspect. The suspect was later identified as 19 year-old Adrian Xavier Esquivel. Esquivel now has an outstanding warrant for his arrest.
The incident went viral and gained media attention. It was by this manner of attention that led our investigating deputy to social media where it was learned the incident was posted on Grizzy’s Hood News . It was the public’s help and the social platform that our deputies were able to positively identify Esquivel as the suspect in this case. A huge thanks to Grizzy’s Hood News.
