Although Summer Break is upon us, citizens of La Porte are reminded that LPISD will be holding Summer School sessions. Listed below are the upcoming school zone locations and their times:
Bayshore Elementary School (McCabe Road) from June 10th-27th : lights activated 7:30am-8:30am & 1:30pm-2:30pm.
La Porte Junior High (S Broadway and San Jacinto) from June 10th-27th: 8:00am-9:30am & 12:00pm-2:00pm.
La Porte High (E Fairmont and San Jacinto) from June 5th-20th: 8:00am-9:30am & 12:00pm-2:00pm.
Additional tips for motorists:
-Be aware that traffic patterns around school zones may have changed since the previous school session.
-Stay alert and put your cell phone away.
-Drop off and pick up your children in your school’s designated areas, not the middle of the street.
-Keep an eye on children gathered at bus stops.
-Watch for children who might dart across the street or between vehicles.
