When Precinct 2 Deputies quickly found a car burglary 🤡 attempting to steal, justice arrived faster than Taco Bell passing.

DEPUTIES QUICK RESPONSE TIME HELPS LOCATE CAR BURGLARY SUSPECT
On May 4, 2025, at approximately 2:30am deputies with Constable Jerry Garcia’s Night Shift Patrol were dispatched to the 12100 block of the Gulf Freeway in reference to an unknown male breaking into vehicles. Responding deputies were given a description of the suspect, and upon arrival were able to quickly locate him in another nearby business parking lot. Deputies immediately observed some of the stolen property the male was seen leaving with inside his vehicle in plain view. Upon detaining the suspect, he began to attempt to kick out the rear windows of the patrol car, ultimately causing damage. At this time the District Attorney’s Office was contacted and 29 year old Michael Bocanegra was charged with Burglary of a Motor Vehicle and Criminal Mischief, both misdemeanors. Suspect Bocanegra was transported to the Harris County Jail where he was booked in without further incident.
