While many schools ignore personal finance, Pasadena High prepares students for fiscal reality.

Why Don’t Schools Teach Students How to Manage Money?
At Pasadena High School, WE DO!
Did you know that our students have the opportunity to take a Personal Financial Literacy and Economics course that teaches them how to manage money and make responsible financial decisions before entering adulthood?
We often hear people say, “Schools should teach kids how to budget, pay bills, save money, and prepare for the real world.”
Well, that’s exactly what our Eagles are learning! Today in class, students participated in The Budget Game, a hands on activity that challenged them to manage a $2,000 monthly budget while navigating real life financial situations.
What happens when rent is due, groceries need to be purchased, and suddenly your car has a flat tire? Do you have enough savings to handle the unexpected?
Students had to make those decisions, track their spending, adjust their budgets, and reflect on how their financial choices affected their outcomes.
Whether our students are headed to college, the military, technical training, or directly into the workforce, understanding how to manage money is a skill they will need for the rest of their lives.
That’s how we continue to GAIN ALTITUDE!
Eagle Pride Never Dies!
