This afternoon, at approximately 2:19 PM, Harris County Precinct 8 Deputy O. Cartlidge responded to the McDonald’s located in the 500 block of El Dorado Blvd. in reference to a suspicious persons call. It was reported that two males were inside the establishment using narcotics and refusing to leave.
Upon arrival, Deputy Cartlidge was directed to the individuals inside the restaurant. Upon making contact, one of the males attempted to hide a clear plastic baggie near his leg. The individuals were identified as 21-year-old Cornell Green and 37-year-old Nautilus Shepard.
Cornell Green was identified as the male who attempted to conceal the plastic baggie. Upon recovery, it was found to contain methamphetamine and a glass smoking pipe. Using a mobile AFIS machine, deputies discovered that the name initially provided by Nautilus Shepard was false.
The Harris County District Attorney’s Office was contacted and a charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance was accepted on Green and a charge of Failure to Identify was accepted for Shepard. Both individuals were booked into the Harris County Jail. Bonds have not been set in these cases.
