A hero’s farewell, PPD and the crew remembering their brave companion K9 Malcom.

We are saddened to announce that two weeks ago, on February 2, 2024, K9 Malcom passed away after battling an illness. During his final moments, he was surrounded by his handler, Officer Kelldorf Jr., and fellow officers.

Malcom played a pivotal role in the department’s mission, contributing significantly to numerous seizures, including the confiscation of $260,000 in cash and over 500 lbs. of marijuana. His achievements also encompassed the successful seizure of LSD, heroin, methamphetamine, crack cocaine, cocaine, ecstasy, and kush.
