ROAD RAGE CALL LEADS TO ARREST
On Wednesday, February 14, 2023 at approximately 4:03 PM, Precinct 8 Deputy Langley with Constable Phil Sandlin’s Office responded to the 5700 block of Underwood in reference to a road rage incident. Deputy Langley arrived and met with the victim who stated he was traveling southbound on Red Bluff Rd at Genoa Red Bluff Rd when a driver pulled up next to him and displayed an offensive hand gesture. The suspect continued to follow the victim and both stopped at a red light at the intersection of Red Bluff Rd and Underwood Rd. While stopped at the light, the suspect exited his vehicle and reached inside the victim’s passenger window displaying a knife. The suspect proceeded to damage the exterior of the victim’s vehicle with the knife before driving off and pulling into a jobsite in the 5700 block of Underwood Rd. Deputy Langley located the suspect and identified him as 41 year old Juan Carlos Flores.
The Harris County District Attorney’s Office was contacted and accepted charges for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon. Flores was transported to the Harris County Joint Processing Center where his bond was set at $15,000.
