Armand Bayou Nature Center set up shop at Galveston’s Featherfest and has info about it.

Yesterday, Armand Bayou Nature Center was at Featherfest in Galveston. Pictured here is our ambassador baby alligator held by Sydni. We also have a photo of some Great Blue Herons at our rookery on a secluded part of Armand Bayou Nature Center. It is estimated that 1 out of every 3 birds migrate through Texas. Featherfest is the largest birding festival on the Upper Texas Coast and within a small geographic area has over 300 species of birds that make their permanent or temporary home throughout the year. ABNC also has 270 bird species that do the same here throughout the year. If you’ve missed our previous Rookery Tours check out our next one on May 11th. Registration required, book at
