You might notice that our uniformed officers look a little different now. Pictured below is Officer Nelson wearing our new load bearing vest.
Load bearing vests help better distribute the weight of nearly 30 pounds of equipment so there is less strain on the officer’s hips and lower back. This change was approved under Chief D. Ditrich’s administration and we are excited to see this project come to life!
