We want to inform you of a recent scam.
If you receive a phone call from an “agent of the Department of Investigations,” instructing you to transfer all your bank account funds into a Bitcoin wallet, to prevent fraud, THIS IS A SCAM.
If you also receive a phone call from a phone number belonging to the Deer Park Police Department, informing you that transferring your bank funds into a Bitcoin wallet is “standard protocol to safeguard money in your bank account,” THIS IS A SCAM.
If you receive similar phone calls, hang up the phone.
