A Pasadenian is asking for the community’s help after her bike was stolen from the Villas at Shaver apartments late Monday night. The theft, which happened at 11:49 PM, has left her and her son stranded.
The stolen bicycle is described as a pink Huffy women’s cruiser with a distinct black and brown child seat attached to the middle. The owner says she and her son relied on the bike as their primary means for neighborhood errands and grocery trips.
A security camera caught a glimpse of the incident. The clown appears to be a tall man with brown skin, wearing a white T-shirt, a string backpack, and black-and-white sneakers, possibly resembling Jordans. Bottom line: if you see a dude on a pink bike, say something.
The theft has been reported to PPD, but the family is primarily focused on the bike’s return. “All we want is for the bike to be returned safely to us.” “No further action will be taken if it is returned.”
Anyone with information about the theft or the whereabouts of the bike is encouraged to contact local authorities. The family hopes that, with the community’s support, they’ll be reunited with their bike.
