We had a great day today with 8 dog adoptions, 8 cat adoptions, and our friends at Best Friends Animal Society took our last 3 cats into their rescue! Our 2 day total was 21 dogs, 16 cats, and 3 went to rescue. That’s 40 pets we didn’t have to bring back with us, 37 of which went to homes and 3 who will be going into homes likely very soon!
The 2 day total for the entire event was 969 adoptions 🎉🎉🎉
We are very thankful to Petco Love for inviting us every year, providing a space for shelters to all come together for such a large-scale event. Sometimes, all it takes to get an animal adopted who has sat in a shelter for months is to get them seen in a different part of town.
Everyone who participated in this event will sleep very well tonight and will be right back to working to get more animals adopted in their shelters tomorrow because the work never stops.
