In Pasadena High’s Human Anatomy & Physiology class, students are creatively collaborating, turning cucumbers into anatomical wonders while mastering the body’s language.

The year is off to a strong start in Ms. Pedraza’s Humman Anatomy & Physiology class!

Students kicked off their very first lab with creativity and teamwork, building “cucumans” 🥒 to explore the language of anatomy. From

✅ Anatomical directional terms (superior, inferior, medial, lateral, etc.)
✅ Body planes & sections (sagittal, coronal, transverse)
✅ Body cavities, quadrants, and regions

This foundation is essential for understanding how the human body is organized …and what better way to learn than through collaboration, creativity, and a little hands on!
