During the evening hours of 9-25-23, the La Porte Police Department received multiple 911 calls from the 300 block of West C Street regarding two stabbing victims. Officers responded and found a male suspect had stabbed his girlfriend numerous times before turning the knife on himself, inflicting wounds to his chest and neck. The female sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported from the scene by Life Flight to Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston. La Porte Emergency Services transported the male suspect to UTMB Clear Lake, where officers remained with him while La Porte Police Department Detectives investigated the case. Ultimately, charges of Aggravated Assault were filed against the male suspect. The female is in critical condition but is expected to survive.
