Pasadena High’s debut at the SkillsUSA State Conference was a magnificent success, showcasing incredible talent and teamwork among aspiring builders.

🛠️ Eagle Excellence on Display at State SkillsUSA!

Today we celebrate a historic first for Pasadena High School’s Construction Lab, our very first time competing at the SkillsUSA State Conference, and we’re already making a mark!

Congratulations to Senior Ricardo Martinez, who earned:
✨ 2nd Place in the Cabinetmaking Competition – bringing home a Silver Medal
✨ A set of high-end woodworking tools
✨ A woodworking scholarship offer
✨ A visa gift card

Shoutout to Ismael Oviedo, who represented PHS with pride in a highly competitive Masonry competition at srate. Excellent work, Ismael!

Together, Ricardo and Ismael also earned one of the highest scores in the state on their Cabinetmaking Job Exhibit, receiving an amazing 398 out of 400 points for their beautifully built Lathe stand.

We are so proud of these talented students and grateful to our Mrs Harris, CTE Department, and Pasadena ISD Board for providing opportunities that open doors and build futures.

This is just the beginning!
