Pasadena Sports Medicine Shines at GHATS!
On Saturday, April 5, our Pasadena High School Sports Medicine team showed up and showed out at the Greater Houston Athletic Trainers Society (GHATS) Annual Student Workshop!
Our Mighty Eagles represented PHS in three competitive events:
Taping Contest:
Senior Mariana Marquez DOMINATED the field—taking 1st place with a blazing time under one minute!
AT Olympics:
Seniors Mariana Marquez, Jocelyn Frias, and Fabian Aguirre led the team to a 2nd place tie, alongside Junior Miguel Cebrián and Sophomores Issyara Lee and Yissell Aguirre. They put in the hours, and it showed!
Quiz Bowl:
Senior Amira Valdez led the charge against a top-ranked team. While we didn’t advance, our team—Issyara Lee, Tytiana Russell, Celeste Quinones, and Diana Campuzano—competed with heart and determination.
These amazing students arrived at 6:30 AM ready to compete, connect, and represent Pasadena High School with pride. They came home with awards, memories, and the respect of everyone in attendance!
Way to go, Mighty Eagles!
