The Library Teen Advisory Boardβs involvement in PPD’s Officer Santa is brining in the Christmas spirit for the little ones.
Our Teen Advisory Board participated in the Officer Santa program, earning them volunteer hours toward their school credits. π

The Central Library is gearing up for the City festivities, so plan your visit with alternate entrances.
Our Central Library’s Main Entrance will be divided and closed off for City Hall’s Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony from Thursday through Friday.
On Thursday, December 5th the BOOK DROP MAIN ENTRANCE will be closed, and half of the parking lot will remain open. You can still drop off books inside during business hours.
On Friday, December 6 our NORTH PARKING lot will be closed. Parking will be available in the PASADENA MUNICIPAL COURT AREA PARKING LOT (Davist Street) and OUR EAST ENTRANCE (Children’s Area) will serve as our additional entrance to the library during the event.

It’s National Friends of Libraries Week, so we thought we would share photos from just some of the programs that Friends of the Pasadena Public Library have brought to the library this year. Join the Library for a six-session class to ace the citizenship interview and learn essential U.S. trivia.
Interested in becoming a citizen? Start practicing for the interview in this six-session class. The class will cover questions about the US government, history, geography, and concepts such as the rights and responsibilities of citizens and also help you practice your interview skills. To join the class, participants must speak English at least at a basic level and must already have two years of permanent residency in the US

It’s Fall Y’all and what better way to celebrate than by making some cute decor? ππ
Join us as we show you how to make a pumpkin from your old books. The craft hour is a first come, first served event while supplies last.
Join the Halloween fun at Central Library by swapping costumes for an eco-friendly celebration, and help local charities while youβre at it.

Bring in your gently used costume by THURSDAY, OCTOBER 3! You’ll get a ticket for each costume you bring.
Here is how it works:
π» We’ll accept costumes for all ages and styles, from toddlers to adults. Please make sure all costumes are in good condition, and free of tears and stains.
π» If you have a ticket, visit on Saturday, October 5 between 10 and 11 a.m. to pick out a costume for each ticket. Everyone is welcome to come between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. to pick out a costume.
π» Leftover costumes after the event will be donated to local charities.
