PPD celebrating Officer Chris Rock and his distinguished career in law enforcement comes to an end.

Please join us in congratulating Officer Chris Rock on his recent retirement from our department. Officer Chris Rock began his law enforcement career in 1987 when he attended the University of Houston Law Enforcement Academy. Upon graduation, he worked a short time for the Roman Forest Police Department before being hired on with the Baytown Police Department in 1988. While employed with the Baytown Police Department, he was assigned to the patrol division and worked some with the narcotics division in an undercover capacity. In 1990, Chris went to work for the Chambers County Sheriff’s Department as a patrol deputy. He later served as a K9 officer and operated under the Governor’s Office in the Narcotics Trafficking Task Force, working highway drug interdiction and some undercover capacities. Chris joined the Pasadena Police Department in 1995, graduating from the 45th Modified Academy. During his tenure with our department, he worked as a patrol officer in the Commercial Motor Vehicle Division and the Crime Scene Division as a crime scene investigator. In 2018, Officer Rock was selected as Officer of the Year for his efforts in thwarting a robbery of an elderly female. Congratulations, Chris, on your much-deserved retirement, and we wish you the best as you begin the next chapter in your life.
