Last week, Precinct 8 Deputies attended EVOC training (Emergency Vehicle Operations Course). Proper operation of an emergency vehicle is critical for police officers and public safety. During this course, participants become familiar with driving skills that relate to the operation a police vehicle. This 24-hour course includes hands-on driving exercises that will enhance an officer’s ability to operate a vehicle during an emergency situation by teaching personal and vehicle control limitations.
