Precinct 8 Deputy A. Peters locked up a wanted 🤡 after a foot chase.

SUSPICIOUS PERSON CALL LEADS TO FOOT PURSUIT
On Thursday, February 1, 2024 at approximately 7:04 PM, Precinct 8 Deputy A. Peters with Constable Phil Sandlin’s Office was dispatched to a suspicious person call in the 200 block of El Dorado Blvd, an area known for high narcotic activity. Deputy Peters arrived and located two male subjects behind Time Out Sports Bar. As Deputy Peters approached the subjects, one male refused to comply with commands and began to evade. The suspect jumped over a fence and continued to evade on a bicycle on El Dorado Blvd, through Zabolio Dr and proceeded through an apartment complex in the 400 block of El Dorado Blvd. The suspect ultimately stopped at the intersection of Pipers View Dr and Richvale Ln where he was apprehended. The suspect was identified as 27 year old Charles Kelly. A check of Kelly’s information revealed an open felony warrant for Possession of Controlled Substance through Harris County.
The Harris County District Attorney’s Office was contacted and accepted charges for Evading Arrest/Detention. Kelly was transported to the Harris County Joint Processing Center where his bond was set at $100.
