Precinct 8 Deputy A. Peters responded to a crash and ended up locking up a drunk 🤡 with a kid in the car.

WOMAN CHARGED WITH DRIVING WHILE INTOXICATED WITH CHILD PASSENGER
On Friday, February 2, 2024 at approximately 6:47 PM, Precinct 8 Deputy A. Peters with Constable Phil Sandlin’s Office was dispatched to a crash in the 6500 block of SH 225. Deputy Peters arrived on scene and observed the vehicle in the ditch. The driver was identified as 48 year old Rachel Quezada Sorola. While speaking with Sorola, Deputy Peters detected multiple signs of intoxication. Deputy Peters proceeded to administer the Standardized Field Sobriety Test and determined the driver was unable to operate a vehicle safely. Further investigation revealed there was a small child passenger in the vehicle at the time of the crash. Sorola was transported the Clear Lake station where an intoxilyzer test was administered. The results revealed Sorola’s alcohol concentration was over the legal limit.
The Harris County District Attorney’s Office was contacted and accepted felony charges for Driving While Intoxicated with Child Passenger. Sorola was transported to the Harris County Joint Processing Center where her bond was set at $1,000.
