There will be a weekend closure of the southbound mainlanes on Sam Houston Tollway Ship Channel Bridge beginning Friday, May 3 at 10:00 p.m. through Saturday, May 4 at 2:00 p.m.
• Drivers traveling southbound on the Sam Houston Tollway Ship Channel Bridge will be detoured to take the Jacintoport Blvd exit ramp. Drivers are encouraged to utilize I-10 to access the other port crossings.
This closure is in addition to the continuous (4-month) closure of one southbound lane on the Ship Channel Bridge.
Drivers should expect delays when traveling this section of the tollway.
All closures are subject to change due to weather, emergency work, or other events.
