Shell Federal Credit Union Announces Opening of Applications for the 2024 John Garrison Scholarships
Shell Federal Credit Union (Shell FCU) is pleased to announce the opening of applications for the prestigious 2024 John Garrison Scholarships. These scholarships are a testament to Shell FCU’s commitment to supporting the education of deserving students in our community. In the coming year, we will be awarding a total of 20 scholarships: 15 valued at $2,500 each for two or four-year college or university programs and 5 valued at $2,500 each for vocational or technical programs.
The growth and expansion of Shell FCU over the past two decades have resulted in an increased demand for educational assistance. In recognition of this, Shell FCU is proud to allocate a total of $50,000 in scholarships to 2024 High School Seniors.
Applicants can conveniently complete their submissions, along with all necessary attachments, online. Alternatively, applications can be submitted with required documentation at any Shell FCU branch or via mail, with a submission deadline of Saturday, January 20, 2024.

Since its inception in 2001, the John Garrison Scholarship has been bestowed upon 188 accomplished students, with a cumulative total of $487,500 awarded. These scholarships stand as a lasting tribute to the memory of John Garrison, a dedicated volunteer Board Member who selflessly served for over 50 years. His visionary leadership and unwavering commitment to volunteerism continue to inspire us all. We encourage all applicants to embody his spirit and carry it forward into their future careers and volunteer endeavors.
