Sad news out of PPD. Veteran police officer under investigation takes his own life.
Veteran Pasadena police officer Kerry Heiserman took his own life in a church parking lot after learning he was under investigation for invasive visual recording. A complaint had been filed against Heiserman on January 6, and the case was assigned to an investigator that same morning.

Jamie Huffar “A woman who once worked for the Pasadena Chamber of Commerce will spend 15 years in prison after pleading guilty to stealing more than $1 million from her place of work. Jamie Huffar pleaded guilty to theft and forgery over a five-year period that started in 2017.”

Student arrested after gun found at Miller Intermediate. PPD doesn’t think he had bad intentions..
A student Miller Intermediate was arrested after a gun was found on the campus Tuesday afternoon. Authorities believe the student hid the gun after realizing the police were present, and they do not think the student had intentions of using it.

Video: Two killed in deadly multi-vehicle crash at Crenshaw and the Beltway feeder.
Two people were killed in a multi-vehicle crash Saturday evening. The crash occurred at the intersection of Crenshaw Road and the Beltway 8 feeder. Witnesses reported that a driver in a silver sedan ran a red light at a high speed and crashed into a truck, causing one passenger in the sedan’s backseat to be ejected and another to collapse. Both passengers were pronounced dead at the scene. Witnesses stated that some people involved in the crash were not wearing seatbelts. The driver who caused the crash initially fled the scene on foot but was later captured. An investigation is ongoing.
