Two people were killed in a multi-vehicle crash Saturday evening. The crash occurred at the intersection of Crenshaw Road and the Beltway 8 feeder. Witnesses reported that a driver in a silver sedan ran a red light at a high speed and crashed into a truck, causing one passenger in the sedan’s backseat to be ejected and another to collapse. Both passengers were pronounced dead at the scene. Witnesses stated that some people involved in the crash were not wearing seatbelts. The driver who caused the crash initially fled the scene on foot but was later captured. An investigation is ongoing.
