Chris Tremie, a standout behind the plate at South Houston High School, contributed to the team’s renowned status in Pasadena ISD history and played a pivotal role in American Legion Post 490’s state title victory. His impressive senior year in 1988 led the Trojans to the UIL playoffs with notable stats, earning him All-Greater Houston and all-state honors. Drafted by the Houston Astros, Tremie chose collegiate baseball at the University of Houston, excelling as a starter throughout his four-year tenure. Post-college, he embarked on a 14-year, 17-team journey in professional baseball, showcasing exceptional defensive skills as a catcher and gaining a reputation for mentoring others. Retiring as a player in 2005, Tremie transitioned into successful managerial roles, achieving Eastern League and International League titles. Currently, he serves as the minor-league field coordinator for the Cincinnati Reds, actively contributing his knowledge and expertise to aspiring players within the organization.
