Convicted 🤡 felon Aidan Alexander Johnson lead Precinct 8 Deputy K. Peters on a high-speed chase.

On January 2, 2024, Precinct 8 Deputy K. Peters with Constable Phil Sandlin’s Office attempted to initiate a traffic stop on a vehicle with no license plate in the 13100 block of the Gulf Freeway. The vehicle failed to stop and a pursuit ensued. The vehicle continued traveling on the service road at speeds over 115 MPH while disregarding several red lights. The pursuit ended in the 8600 block of Airport Blvd where the vehicle lost control and struck a pole. The driver was taken into custody and identified as 28 year old Aidan Alexander Johnson. A check of Johnson’s information revealed he was out on bond from Comal County, Texas and has prior felony convictions. Deputies later recovered a firearm that was thrown out of the vehicle during the pursuit.

The Harris County District Attorney’s Office was contacted and accepted felony charges for Evading Arrest/Detention with Vehicle, Tampering with or Fabricating Physical Evidence and Unlawful Possession of Firearm by Felon. Johnson was transported to the Harris County Joint Processing where his bonds were set at a total of $120,000
