Deputy Rangel steps in as veterans step up for honors at Precinct 8.

This afternoon, Constable Sandlin hosted a formal Swearing-in and Service/Merit Award Ceremony at our Clear Lake station. Deputy Randy Rangel was sworn-in as the newest Precinct 8 Deputy at the onset of the ceremony.
The following personnel were presented with awards in recognition for their years of service to Harris County:
10 Year Service Award
• Assistant Chief Clerk Tammy Fitzmartin (9/2026)
20 Year Service Award
• Sergeant Colin Hulsart (8/2026)
30 Year Service Awards
• Captain Steve Hastings (7/2026)
• Support Services Clerk Tammi Williams (9/2026)
The following personnel were presented with merit awards:
• Deputy Harsha Atluri – Certificate of Recognition
• Deputy Adan Camarillo – Certificate of Recognition
• Deputy Xavier Vargas – Certificate of Recognition
• Deputy Daniel Lozano – Certificate of Recognition
• Sergeant William Bearden (Precinct 3) – Certificate of Commendation
• Sergeant Jonathan Toliver – Certificate of Commendation
• Communications Officer Kassandra Covington – Distinguished Service Award

The ceremony concluded with a warm welcome for Deputy Rangel into Precinct 8.
