WANTED SUBJECT LEADS DEPUTY ON FOOT PURSUIT

On January 9, 2024, Precinct 8 Deputy Morgan with Constable Phil Sandlin’s Office initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle with a defective headlight and expired registration in the 9900 block of the Gulf Freeway. Deputy Morgan further observed the passenger not wearing a seatbelt.

The passenger was identified as Jammison Dorsey. As Deputy Morgan returned to his patrol vehicle to check both driver and passenger’s information, the passenger exited the vehicle and began to evade on foot. Deputy Morgan gave chase and utilized his Taser to safely subdue him. Further investigation revealed the passenger provided false identifying information and was positively identified as 38 year old Kiersten Vienka Dorsey. A check of Dorsey’s information revealed open warrants through Brazoria County Sheriff’s Office and Harrison County Sheriff’s Office, Mississippi.

The Harris County District Attorney’s Office was contacted and accepted charges for Evading Arrest/Detention and Fail to ID to Peace Officer/Fugitive. Dorsey was transported to the Harris County Joint Processing Center where his bonds were set at $200 total.
