Habitual offender arrested by Precinct 8 Deputy Conway for making terroristic threats at CVS on Bay Area.

On April 9, 2024 at approximately 8:14 AM, Precinct 8 Deputy Conway with Constable Phil Sandlin’s Office was dispatched to a suspicious person call at CVS in the 900 block of Bay Area Blvd. Upon arrival, the suspicious person was located and identified as 25 year old Anthony Joseph Carignan. The complainant stated Carignan entered the store and began to cause a disturbance. Carignan was instructed to leave the store and he refused. Carignan began to threaten the complainant and a customer with serious bodily injury. A check of Carignan’s information revealed a Criminal Trespass warning was filed on him for this location.

The Harris County District Attorney’s Office was contacted and accepted charges for Terroristic Threat – Fear of Imminent Serious Bodily Injury. Carignan was placed in custody and transported to the Harris County Joint Processing Center where his bond was set at $100. Carignan was later released on a General Order Bond, a release order from the judge based on the defendant’s promise that he/she will show up for trial and no security is required. It was noted that Carignan has been arrested by Precinct 8 Deputies three times this year.
