Following the eve of La Porte City Council’s confirmation of J. Scott Pullig to be La Porte Police Department’s newest Chief of Police, Judge Denise Mitrano performed a swearing in ceremony on the Morning of April 9th, 2024. Pullig was officially sworn in and proclaimed Chief of the organization. After starting with the agency in 1998, Pullig has risen through the ranks and served in multiple divisions and roles; making him well-prepared to take the reins.
With Pullig vacating the position of Assistant Chief over the Department’s Support Services Command, he has appointed Lieutenant John Krueger to be the agency’s next Assistant Chief. Congratulations to both La Porte veterans.
