CTHS students, this summer, challenge yourself to read five books from the Knights’ Library Choice Board and earn awesome prizes when school starts.

The Knights’ Library is challenging #theCTHS students, including incoming freshmen through the Class of 2026, to read during the summer break!

Choose any 5 squares from the Choice Board (they do not have to be in a line) and read books based on those prompts to earn prizes when we return in August for the 2025-2026 school year!

The Choice Board and the form to complete for your summer reading can be found at bit.ly/cthssummer25. If you don’t have access to a printer, keep track of what you read this summer and pick up a form in the library when you come back in August.

Teacher shoutout! 📣 CTHS Pasadena ISD is currently piloting MagicStudent, part of the MagicSchool.ai suite, with their students. Recently, Mrs. Guel utilized it during the revision phase of a writing assignment on the impact of social media. Students entered their drafts into MagicStudent to receive valuable feedback. They even asked questions based on the feedback to pinpoint areas for growth! 📚💬

In February, CTHS Pasadena ISD Senior Maritime and Criminal Justice students set sail on the Carnival Breeze, diving into hands-on learning at sea.

Late Post Alert!!!! Did you know our Senior Maritime and Criminal Justice students went on a cruise in February? They received real time hands on learning that is the representation of our Mission statement of “unique educational experiences.” From studying customs on the ship to touring the bridge, our students were able to participate in behind the scenes tours on the Carnival Breeze.

CTHS rocked the Visual Arts Scholastic Event with 19 students earning top ratings and five advancing to the State Competition.

CTHS had 25 students, (22 pieces) compete on Saturday at Visual Arts Scholastic Event (UIL Art Regionals) at Dobie High School. We had an AMAZING SHOWING for CTHS. 19 received the highest rating of 4 and earned Regional medals! We had FIVE STUDENTS, 6 artworks, qualify for State Competition in San Marcos in April. Congratulations to Abraham Guillen, Caleb Meyer, Jennifer Torres (2), Yuliana Sandoval and Kamryn Sandoval.

CTHS Cosmo Junior students crushed it at the SkillsUSA competition, soaring to first place and earning their chance at the state level.

We are thrilled to announce that our talented #theCTHS Cosmo Junior students have excelled in the SkillsUSA Job Exhibit competition at the district level! The CTHS Maritime team celebrated their gold victory, earning a spot at State while Keith shined with his impressive photo exhibit.

The CTHS Maritime has a first place team and will advance to State for the “Pathway Showcase” in Leadership Competition. The team that won Gold is: Damian Garza, Henry Gonzales and Adrian Rivera. Keith Jensen (far right) also advanced to state for his Photo Panel Job Exhibit on “Loading and Unloading a Container Ship.” Congratulations to these students! Good luck at State SkillsUSA!!!

Congratulations to the CTHS students who engineered an impressive space station design during the NASA competition weekend.

Congratulations to #theCTHS students that participated in the Space Settlement and Design competition at NASA this weekend. Bruce Nguyen, Emiliano Castillo, Lana Fontenot, Audrey Rosales, Alberto Urquiza, Kiera Jnlouis, Caleb Meyer, and Lenneth Cruz worked for 36 hours to design a space station on Mars. The competition is high-intensity and simulates an engineering industry environment. The students collaborated with students from across Texas and US and finished their designs overnight Saturday with the help of some NASA mentors and engineers, and presented to a panel of judges on Sunday morning.

Caleb and Lenneth were on the winning team. Students not only learn about engineering and technical skills, but how to work with a team, communicate effectively, be a strong leader, and other life and soft skills, critical to success after high school. Congratulations to all the participants!

The CTHS Archery Team has hit the bullseye by qualifying for state, showcasing their talent and teamwork with impressive personal bests.

Congratulations to #theCTHS Archery Team because they are State Bound!!! They qualified for state competition with a tremendous team score.

17 of the 21 archers scored personal bests in the state qualifying tournament.

Look for them in Belton, Tx at the Texas NASP State Tournament in March.
