Exploring Houston’s historic past, Rayburn’s Black Student Association had a blast diving into the city’s Black history.

Rayburn’s Black Student Association recently commemorated Black History Month with a field trip to the African American Library at the Gregory School in Fourth Ward. Fourth Ward is Houston’s Historic Freedmen’s Town and prior to being a library, the Gregory School was an elementary school opened by the Freedmen’s Bureau. Students enjoyed a great day of immersing themselves in the rich Black history of Houston.

Rayburn parents get squared on ParentSquare, your new centralized spot for school info.

Current Rayburn Parents! We are excited to introduce a new centralized method of communication called ParentSquare. Over the next year this will replace several other platforms including Remind and Peach Jar so school communications are easier to track all in one place. There may still be redundancy during the transition, but it will soon be used district wide. You should have received a text or an email this morning with a link to join. If you did not, please make sure your contact info is up to date in Skyward. Students, you will receive information during an upcoming homeroom lesson.
