Precinct 8’s Deputy A. Peters traffic stop led to the capture of a wanted super 🤡 felon with drugs in pocket.

On Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at approximately 2:14 PM, Precinct 8 Deputy A. Peters with Constable Phil Sandlin’s Office initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 9300 block of the Gulf Freeway for expired registration. The passenger was observed to not be wearing his seat belt and was identified as 56 year old Anthony Lee White. A check of White’s information revealed two open felony warrants through Harris County Sheriff’s Office for Aggravated Assault and Felon in Possession of Weapon. While attempting to detain White, he began resist and proceeded to evade on foot. Deputy Peters was able to utilize her Taser to subdue the suspect. Deputy Peters conducted a search of his person and located .3 grams of crack cocaine and drug paraphernalia.

The Harris County District Attorney’s Office was contacted and accepted charges for Possession of a Controlled Substance and Evading Arrest/Detention. White was transported to the Harris County Joint Processing Center. His bonds have not yet been set.
