Precinct 8’s Deputy Burden put a stop to a 🤡 putting a burden on society by robbing people.

WANTED SUBJECT LEADS DEPUTY ON PURSUIT
On Tuesday, January 30, 2024, Precinct 8 Deputy Burden with Constable Phil Sandlin’s Office attempted to initiate a traffic stop in the 4700 block of the E Sam Houston Twy. The vehicle failed to stop and a pursuit ensued. The vehicle pulled into the Fairway Plaza shopping center in the 5600 block of Fairmont Pkwy where it continued driving recklessly at a high rate of speed. The vehicle ultimately came to a stop in the 5300 block of Kent Dr. The driver exited the vehicle and fled on foot. Responding deputies set up a perimeter and located the suspect inside a business in the 3900 block of Mickey Gilley Blvd. The suspect was identified as 23 year old Albert Cruz Espinoza Garcia. A check of Garcia’s information revealed an open felony warrant through Harris County Sheriff’s Office for Robbery.
The Harris County District Attorney’s Office was contacted and accepted additional charges for Evading Arrest/Detention with Vehicle. Garcia was transported to the Harris County Joint Processing Center where his bond was set at $2,000.
