As Police Week comes to a close, we pause to remember. Not out of formality, but because these men deserve more than remembrance in words alone.
Officer Arthur Claude Dowdy.
Officer Jeffrey Dean Ginn.
Officer Leslie Ian Early.
Officer Jesse Thomas Hamilton.
Officer Larry Dale Candelari.
Detective Pedro “Pete” Mejia Jr.
They chose this work, knowing the risks. They gave everything.
This video is our way of honoring what that sacrifice cost, and what it continues to mean to those of us who still wear the badge.
To their families, your loss is not forgotten and never carried alone.
To our brothers and sisters in blue, their legacy walks beside us every single day.
We will not forget.
