DEER PARK PD PROMOTES THREE TO SERGEANT AND ONE TO LIEUTENANT
Retirements are bittersweet as it is difficult to say goodbye to those we love and respect, but they do pave the way for promotions. As we bid farewell to three tenured officers, we celebrate the advancement of four more.
We cannot be more excited to welcome Jonathan White, Aaron Gonzales and Travis Trotti to the rank of Sergeant, and Jarrett Hill to the rank of Lieutenant. Please join us in congratulating these candidates on their history of excellent work for the Deer Park Police Department.
They take on a more complex leadership role, but are entrusted with our confidence to continually improve the community they serve and the industry they are a part of, to build strong teams within our walls, and to build upon the legacies set before them.
Lieutenant Jarrett Hill has served with the department for 28 years in several capacities earning numerous honors: Detective, Patrol Officer, Crime Scene Officer, Master Peace Officer, TCOLE Instructor, Standard Field Sobriety Instructor, Firearms Instructor, Drug Recognition Expert Instructor, SWAT, numerous commendations and compliment letters, Officer of the Month (13x), Rotary Officer of the Month (3x), Officer of the Year (2x), American Legion officer of the Year (2x), Medal of Valor, Mothers Against Drunk Driving Recognition Award, Life Saving Award.
Sergeant Aaron Gonzales has served with the department for 12 years in the capacity of Patrol Officer and Detective. His awards and accomplishments include: Officer of the month (3x), Rotary Officer of the Month (2), Deer Park Fire Department Badge of Courage, Hostage Negotiator, Breath Test Operator, Field Training Officer, Master Peace Officer, Backup Crime Scene Officer, Accident Reconstructionist, TCOLE Instructor, Emergency Medical Technician, Honor Guard Member, Acting Supervisor, numerous complimentary letters and emails.
Sergeant Jonathan White has served with the department for 12 years in the capacity of Patrol Officer and Detective. His awards and accomplishments include: Narcotics / Pro Act Investigator, Officer of the Month (9x), Rotary Officer of the Month, American Legion Officer of the Year, Team of the Quarter, Master Peace Officer, Breath Test Operator, Field Training Officer, Bicycle Patrol Officer, Special Response Group, Emergency Driving Instructor, Acting Supervisor, numerous letters of appreciation.
Sergeant Travis Trotti has served with the department for almost 7 years as a Patrol Officer. His awards and accomplishments include: Police Academy Top Gun and Top Academic Awards, Officer of the Month (2x), American Legion Officer of the Year, Mothers Against Drunk Driving Recognition Award (4x), Advanced Peace Officer, Breath Test Operator, Drug Recognition Expert, Field Training Officer, TCOLE Instructor.
