Exploring Houston’s historic past, Rayburn’s Black Student Association had a blast diving into the city’s Black history.

Rayburn’s Black Student Association recently commemorated Black History Month with a field trip to the African American Library at the Gregory School in Fourth Ward. Fourth Ward is Houston’s Historic Freedmen’s Town and prior to being a library, the Gregory School was an elementary school opened by the Freedmen’s Bureau. Students enjoyed a great day of immersing themselves in the rich Black history of Houston.
