From Rescue to a Happily Ever After! 🚢⚓️
Yesterday, a team of marine inspectors from the U.S. Coast Guard Sector Houston-Galveston saved the life of a dog in an amazing way.
While inspecting containers, MST3 Bryan Wainscott, MST1 Lucas Loe, MST2 Ryan McMahon, and MST3 Jose Reyes heard barking and scratching from one of the containers in the stack. Suddenly, a dog emerged when the door of the container was opened!
This beautiful girl was trapped in the container for at least a week. She was tired, hungry, and very happy to be rescued. The Guardsmen immediately gave her water and brought her to our shelter for further care.
This brave pup, now named Connie the Container Dog, is safe and sound with Forever Changed Animal Rescue. Let’s salute the heroes who not only safeguard our waters but also rescue precious souls in need.
