South Houston High: A Tribute to Black History Month and the work ahead.

“Black History Month must be more than just a month of remembrance; it should be a tribute to our history and reminder of the work that lies in the months and years ahead.” —Marty Meehan
“I refuse to accept the view that mankind is so tragically bound to the starless midnight of racism and war that the bright daybreak of peace and brotherhood can never become a reality…. I believe that unarmed truth and unconditional love will have the final word.”
– Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., activist
“BHM is vital not only for its commemoration of historical achievements, but also for its role in educating and reminding us of the resilience and creativity that have been pivotal in shaping the world we live in.” – Black at Fetch Employee Resource Group

Pasadena High’s getting upgrades from restrooms to AC Chillers.

This year, our school has seen a wave of much-needed upgrades! We’ve got a new roof, a turf field, upgraded restrooms with water refill stations, a state-of-the-art audio system in our auditorium and gym, plus new lighting and curtains to enhance performances. Also new score boards jn the gym. Our stadium is shining bright with new lights, and our parking lot has brand-new gates and fencing.
And today, we’re excited to add to the list! We’ve just installed new AC chillers and boilers, bringing even more comfort and efficiency to our school.
It’s an ongoing transformation, and we want to express our heartfelt gratitude to our community and dedicated maintenance, operations, and construction departments for making these improvements possible. Thank you for your hard work and dedication to our school’s betterment and continue works on our campus.
